LUXe Puja at Fort Dunree 2011

Formed in 1992, Artlink is the longest established professional art company in Inishowen, Co. Donegal. With a remit area of the North West (including Northern Ireland), the office, studio and workshop spaces are based at Tullyarvan Mill, Buncrana.  The gallery is based at the historical and picturesque location of Fort Dunree Military Museum, Buncrana.

A registered charity, Artlink’s mission is to link artists to the community and the community to art by devising and delivering innovative art projects resulting in exhibitions, public art and community projects.

Artlink seeks to captivate the imagination of the public through participatory, educational and outreach programmes. It invests in National and International emerging and professional artists by creating opportunities for artists to develop their creativity and art practice.

The results of which are shared with the local and wider communities by delighting, challenging and stimulating the audiences of Inishowen County Donegal and beyond.

Artlink’s Facilities Include

  • Drawing and Painting Studio
  • Ceramic Facilities – tools and kiln
  • Traditional Black and White Darkroom equipped with digital and non-digital SLR cameras
  • An Apple Mac Digital Imaging Suite comprising of 7 Apple iBooks, a colour printer, scanner and a projector

These facilities are located in Tullyarvan Mill, a restored 19-century corn mill at the edge of the Crana River. Artlink also has access to the large mill garden which can be used to exhibit environmental art or sculptures. Artlink has an off site gallery based at Fort Dunree, the gallery has natural and artificial lighting and is also equipped to operate as a blackout space suitable for projections.
