Letterkenny Gateway
Letterkenny along with Derry City is designated as one of ten Development Gateways in the Republic of Ireland (National Spatial Strategy). It is unique in that it is a cross-border gateway linked to Derry City. This Letterkenny-Derry Gateway is the focal point for the North West Gateway Initiative which is being promoted by the Governments of the Republic of Ireland and the Northern Ireland Executive, with a view towards placing an emphasis on the development of the North West Region of Ireland
