The BASE Enterprise Centre

The BASE Enterprise Centre in Donegal has been described as an “Amazing creative and innovative workspace with a fantastic management team providing great opportunities for Donegal businesses”.

Since opening its doors in 2015 the centre has worked with more than 60 businesses from a range of sectors. These include new business start ups such as Donegal First Aid Services, Innovation Renovation, Utility Choice, Outside the Box, Finn Technology, Energy Conservation Options, Peoplesafe, Viking Fit, Ruth Graham Design, Simply Yum, The Sequin Cinderella and All About Water to mention but a few……

The BASE is owned By Ballybofey and Stranorlar Integrated Community Company Ltd (BASICC) and managed by a dedicated management team comprising local social entrepreneurs.  These individuals are dedicated to creating jobs, promoting an entrepreneurial environment and achieving positive economic outputs through collaboration, innovation, connectivity and additionally by building on existing resources and capitalising on local, regional, national and international opportunities.

As well as organising business events and workshops around key themes such as social media and branding, taxation and company law, access to resources and legal’s, the centre supports local community projects including the local community employment scheme, the Finn Valley Community Health Forum, Tidy Towns activities and the Twin Towns community garden.  Finn Valley Amateur boxing club have also made the centre their home.

Staff members in The BASE work directly with business occupants to provide support, develop businesses opportunities and signpost to other support agencies.

The centre provides a platform for community and enterprise initiatives and it is the only community owned resource in the North West providing high speed broadband through connection to the Metropolitan Area Network.  BASICC see this as vital in attracting online high growth potential businesses to the North West and access to global markets and opportunities for local businesses.  The centre provides shared workspace areas with flexible arrangements, offices, units, training facilities and on-site services and is fast becoming a hub of activity with a reputation for delivery.
