Donegal Prospectus Video goes viral

2015 saw a new Donegal video promoting Donegal as a great place to live, to work and do business go viral.
This video, which has been produced by Donegal TV for Donegal County Council as part of the campaign to reach out to Donegal’s global community and to promote Donegal as a great place to do business, has received a brilliant response across the world especially in the US.
The video was officially launched in September 2015 at the County House in Lifford, it has already received thousands of views on social media platforms. Cathaoirleach Cllr Ciaran Brogan is delighted with this response.
"In July I had the pleasure of launching the Donegal Prospectus at Oakfield a Park in Raphoe and this video complements the prospectus and adds a new dimension to our campaign. Whilst I am delighted with this response to our video I am not surprised as Donegal is great place to live in, to work in and to do business in."
He added "Donegal stirs up an emotional response to anyone with a connection to our county no matter where in the world they may be and the video grasps that emotion and shares with the world not only the love we have for our county but the love and depth of feeling that people who have come to live and work here also have for Donegal".
The Cathaoirleach is urging the people of Donegal to get behind this campaign and help to share our message that Donegal is an excellent place to live, work and do business.
The video itself is a high quality production and is introduced by Mairead Ní Mhaonaigh of Altan and takes a trip around Donegal, presenting the county to the global business community as an excellent location for their business operations. The video highlights a range of international and local companies already operating successfully in and from Donegal. The video also presents a wide range of local services including access, recreation, health and education, demonstrating the wonderful quality of life available to people and families who are thinking of making Donegal their home.
