Ever wondered about world leading career opportunities in County Donegal?  Do you want a rewarding and challenging career in the global Life Sciences industry – matched with an equally high quality of life?

Randox Laboratories is a highly innovative, all-Ireland, blood-sciences diagnostics company, at the cutting edge of healthcare improvement.

Founded in 1982 the company’s major Research and Development and manufacturing plants are in Crumlin, County Antrim and in Dungloe, County Donegal.  From these facilities Randox export to 145 countries around the world, with over 100,000 laboratory users.    Known for its innovation, Randox’s proprietary Biochip Array Technology is a world leader – greatly improving diagnosis by enabling multiple proteomic or genomic assays to be run simultaneously.

With current staff levels of 1300, including 300 research scientists and engineers, Randox has recently announced ambitious plans for expansion, effectively doubling in size by 2020.  These plans will have a significant impact on Dungloe, and the regional economy.

Randox are building a workforce of 540 in Dungloe – operating from their modernised facilities.  The plans call for a total of 180 research scientists and engineers, 270 high quality manufacturing operatives and 90 support staff, all of whom will call County Donegal their home.

With this expansion in mind, opportunities now exist for Life Scientists, conducting R&D and developing diagnostic tests into a wide range of clinical conditions, and Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and Software Developers to develop and support pioneering diagnostic analyser systems.  It is these diagnostic tests and analyser systems that contribute towards making Randox Laboratories a world leader in the diagnostic market.

And that is where the County Donegal Diaspora networks have a role to play.  Randox have engaged actively with Donegal County Council, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Údarás na Gaeltachta, LYIT and local bodies to promote understanding of the great career opportunities that are now available in the North West.

Dr Peter FitzGerald, MD of Randox and the visionary behind this expansion, commented;

Randox is committed to expanding our operations in Dungloe and see the diaspora networks as key to our success.  As well as employing locally, we want to draw top class talent back to Donegal.  If you are part of the wider Irish diaspora, and know of someone who may fit our requirements, please ask them to get in touch.  We can offer great careers to the right people, combined with a wonderful Co Donegal lifestyle’.
