SHARING A PIECE OF HOME WITH THE DONEGAL DIASPORA THIS ST. PATRICK’S DAY
To celebrate St. Patricks Day from afar this year, we teamed up with Food Coast Donegal to send a message to those who couldn’t make it home to Donegal for our national holiday. Our memories of home are often intertwined with food, and thanks to three Food Coast Donegal members, we were able to bring a piece of Donegal to people all around the world. We hope you enjoyed these delicious recipes from Castlegrove Country House Hotel, Quay West Restaurant and Wild Fuschia and we look forward to the day when we can break bread together in person.

The Donegal Diaspora project was also delighted to collaborate with the RCC and the Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce to host the St. Patrick’s Day live stream and bring a link to home to our global Donegal Diaspora. The concert included performances from across the globe; from Declan Houton in Boston (lead singer with the Boston based band Devri) to Scotland which was represented by Kathleen Boyle Jordan, a pianist with the world renowned band Cherish the Ladies. There was also a special message from the President of the Irish Australian Chamber of Commerce, David Greene, who is a native of Dungloe. Check it out here: https://bit.ly/3vrs0k6.
We also shared messages to our diaspora from some famous faces including Moira Doherty, Paul McGinley and Packie Bonner. You can check them out here:
